Release form
11.5 g of powder in a multilayer bag. 10 sachets in a cardboard box.
Sachets can be placed individually or stapled in pairs. Instructions for use are applied to the bag.
Pharmacological action
Combined preparation with antipyretic, decongestant, analgesic and antiallergic effects.
Indications
Infectious and inflammatory diseases – influenza, SARS ( ² Ñcolds ² Ñ), accompanied by fever, chills and fever, headache, runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing and muscle pain.
Contraindications
Concomitant use of tricyclic antidepressants, monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOs), beta-blockers, portal hypertension, alcoholism, diabetes, pregnancy and lactation, children up to 12 years of age, increased sensitivity to individual components of the drug.
Caution: for severe coronary atherosclerosis, arterial hypertension, angle-closure glaucoma, severe liver or kidney disease, prostatic hyperplasia, blood diseases, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, congenital hyperbilirubinemia (Gilbert, Dubin-Johnson syndromes) hyperthyroidism pheochromocytoma, bronchial asthma.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
Composition
1 sachet contains:
Paracetamol 325 mg
Pheniramine maleate 20 mg
Phenylephrine hydrochloride 10 mg.
Dosage and Administration
Inside. The contents of the bag are dissolved in 1 cup boiled hot water. Use it hot. You can add sugar to taste.
A repeated dose can be taken every 4 hours (no more than 3 doses in 24 hours). TeraFlu ® can be used at any time of the day, but taking the drug at bedtime, at night, brings the best effect.
If symptom relief is not observed within 3 days after starting the drug, consult a doctor.
Side effects
Allergic reactions (skin rash, itching, urticaria, angioedema), increased irritability, sleep disturbance, decreased rate of psychomotor reactions, drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, palpitations, increased arteries in the mouth, paresis of accommodation, increased intraocular pressure, urinary retention.
With prolonged use in large doses, hepatotoxic effect, disturbances in the blood picture (anemia, thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis), nephrotoxicity.
Drug Interaction
Enhances the effects of MAO inhibitors, sedatives, ethanol. The risk of hepatotoxic action of paracetamol increases with the concomitant administration of barbiturates, phenytoin, carbamazepine, rifampicin, zidovudine and other inducers of liver microsomal enzymes.
Antidepressants, antiparkinsonian agents, antipsychotics, phenothiazine derivatives – increase the risk of urinary retention, dry mouth, constipation. Glucocorticosteroids increase the risk of developing intraocular pressure.
Paracetamol reduces the effectiveness of uricosuric drugs and increases the effectiveness of indirect anticoagulants.
Tricyclic antidepressants increase sympathomimetic activity, and the simultaneous administration of halothane increases the risk of ventricular arrhythmia.
Reduces the hypotensive effect of guanethidine, which in turn enhances the alpha-adrenostimulating activity of phenylephrine.
Overdose
Nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, hepatotoxic and nephrotoxic action, in severe cases – hepatic insufficiency, hepatonecrosis, increased activity of “hepatic” transaminases, increase in time of prothrombophobia, increase in prothrombatin.
Treatment: gastric lavage, activated carbon intake, symptomatic therapy. Methionine administration 8-9 hours after overdose and acetylcysteine – 12 hours. Seek medical attention.
