Pharmacological action
Stop-stress drops are a combination of sedatives. Phenibut, which is part of the drug, is a phenyl derivative of GABA and phenylethylamine ( -Amino -Phenylbutyric acid hydrochloride). Strengthening inhibitory GABAergic processes, affects the functional state due to normalization of metabolism and effects on cerebral circulation. Possessing a pronounced stress-correcting effect, it ensures the normalization of the processes of excitation and inhibition in the central nervous system. The complex of medicinal plant extracts has a mild calming effect on animals. The combination of active components Stop-stress drops has a calming effect on animals, reduces tension, fear, improves recovery and adaptive processes, increases resistance to adverse environmental influences. Stop-stress drops according to the degree of exposure to the body belong to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), do not mutagenic in recommended doses, carcinogenic and sensitizing effect.
Indications
Stop-stress drops are prescribed to reduce the excitation and correction of psychogenic behavioral disorders in cats and dogs under stress, phobias, aggression for no apparent reason and with increased sexual arousal (together with contraceptive drugs). For the prevention of motion sickness.
Contraindications
Contraindication to use is increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug (including a history), diseases of the genitourinary system, tumors and diabetes. Do not use the drug for pregnant and lactating females.
Composition
Stop-stress drops contain in 1 ml as active ingredients: phenibut – 100 mg and a complex of extracts of medicinal plants: valerian rhizomes 40 mg, catnip, motherwort, hops, Scutellaria baicalensis – 20 mg each, as well as auxiliary components : aspasvit – 7 mg glycerin – 0.7 ml and distilled water – up to 1 ml.
Dosage and administration
Stop-stress drops are administered to cats and dogs orally by force on the root of the tongue (or cheek pouch) or with a small amount of treats, taking into account the mass, type of nervous activity and the degree of excitement of the animal, in the following daily doses:
for cats – 1 drop of the drug (5 mg DV) per 1 kg of animal weight
to dogs – 2 drops of the drug (10 mg DV) per 1 kg animal weight.
The daily dose of the drug is divided into two doses and asked the animal in the morning and evening.

Course the use of the drug is 15-20 days. In the presence of signs of severe arousal and psychogenic behavior disorders (aggression, fear, hyperactivity, excessive vocalization (barking, meowing), hypersexual behavior, labeling of the room with urine), the course can be extended up to 4 weeks.
When animals show signs of agitation and / or behavior disorders again, the drug is repeated in the same doses according to the same pattern.
In order to prevent stress (transportation, arrival of guests, change of scenery, departure of the owner, participation in exhibitions and competitions), the drug is used 3-5 days before the proposed event and within 1-4 days after its completion.
For the prevention of motion sickness, a daily dose of the drug is prescribed once, 1 hour before the start of transportation. When severe manifestations of motion sickness (vomiting) occur, taking the drug is ineffective.
To correct behavior with increased sexual activity, Stop-stress drops are used in the same doses together with contraceptive drugs. The duration of the course of use depends on the individual sensitivity of the animals and their degree of excitability.
Overdose of
With significant overdose, an animal may experience drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, decreased blood pressure, impaired renal and gastrointestinal function. In these cases, it is necessary to rinse the stomach, prescribe enterosorbents and symptomatic agents in accordance with the instructions for their use.
