Pharmacological action
VITALIPID N for children is a white, opaque, homogeneous emulsion for intravenous administration, which is a source of energy and essential fatty acids. Vitalipid contains purified soybean oil emulsified with purified egg phospholipids and fat-soluble vitamins A, E, K1, D2.
Indications
VITALIPID N for children is used for parenteral nutrition as an additive that provides the daily need for fat-soluble vitamins A, D2, E, K1 in infants and children under 11 years of age.
Contraindications
VITALIPID N for children should be used with caution in diseases occurring with impaired fat metabolism, such as renal failure, decompensated diabetes mellitus, pancreatitis, impaired liver function, hypothyroidism (if hypertriglyceridemia is noted) and sepsis. In such patients, if Vitalipide is used, it is necessary to carefully control the level of triglycerides in the serum.

Vitalipid H Pediatric can only be used diluted.
Composition of
1 ml of emulsion contains:
active ingredients: retinol palmitate 135.3 Ñg (corresponding to 69 Ñg retinol), phytomenadione 20 Ñg, ergocalciferol 1.0 Ñg, alpha-tocopherol 0.64 mg,
excipients: soybeans oil – 100 mg egg yolk phospholipids – 12 mg anhydrous glycerol – 22 mg sodium hydroxide 1M * – qs to pH 8 water for injection – up to 1 ml.
Dosage and administration of

Children under 11 years of age are prescribed: 1 ampoule (10 ml) of Vitalipid N for children is added to 500 ml of Intralipid 10% and 20% 1 hour before the start of infusion under aseptic conditions. The resulting solution was stirred with gentle swaying, then used for parenteral infusion in accordance with the instructions for use of Intralipid. The resulting solution must be used within 24 hours.
Vitalipid N for children can be used for the dilution of Soluvit N (covers the daily need for water-soluble vitamins). 10 ml of Vitalipid N for children is sterilely added to an ampoule with Soluvit N, then the resulting solution is sterilely transferred to a vial of Intralipid.
Side effects
