Contraindications

Dosage and administration
In accordance with the instructions for iodopyron, before using the drug in the form of an aerosol, shake the container with the substance, remove the safety cap and put the nozzle on the valve stem. After this, the end of the cylinder should be brought to the affected area and gently press the nozzle head until it stops. The drug is not used upside down. For the treatment of wounds and burns, foam must be applied with an even layer 10-15 mm thick 2 times a day. To prepare for rectal surgery, the medicine should be administered (by double-clicking on the cylinder head until it stops) in the evening, 20 minutes before the operation and after its completion. Before each use of the aerosol, the nozzle must be washed with boiling water or boiled for 5 minutes. Iodopyron solution is prepared immediately before use. As a skin antiseptic for the treatment of gloves and hands of a surgeon, it is recommended to use a 0.1% solution (for active iodine) of a solution (5 ml) to treat the surgical field using a napkin dipped in solution. To treat extensive burns, the patient should be immersed in a bath with a solution of 1:50 or 1:32 for 15-20 minutes. Iodopyron ointment is used to treat wound processes, accompanied by abundant purulent departments, after surgical treatment of purulent foci with the removal of necrotic tissue, blind purulent edema and after treatment of wounds with 3% hydrogen peroxide solution. Wounds should be filled with gauze swabs pre-soaked with ointment. It is necessary to change tampons every day until the inflammatory process is completely stopped, granulations are formed in the wound and marginal epithelization. As a rule, 150-200 g of ointment is consumed per dressing. For the purpose of prevention, it is recommended to apply a thin layer of ointment to the burn and wound surfaces, as well as the area of ​​postoperative sutures and cover with sterile gauze napkins.
Side effects
When using Iodopyron, allergic reactions can occur, accompanied by dryness, itching, flushing of the skin, urticaria, redness, peeling, burning. The phenomenon of iodism is also possible – non-infectious inflammation of the mucous membranes at the sites of iodine release.
Overdose of
In case of an overdose of ointment, solution or aerosol of iodopyron, side effects from the use of the drug may intensify.
