Pharmacological action
Naturally occurring drug based on the vital product of bees – propolis. Propolis (bee glue) is a mixture of wax, resins, essential oils and a number of other natural compounds: flavonoids, cinnamic acid salts, benzoic acid.
It has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antipruritic and analgesic properties, accelerates the regeneration and epithelization of wound surfaces, and promotes the growth of granulations.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, eczema.
Composition
Active ingredient: alcohol extraction from propolis 1: 10. Contains at least 70% ethyl alcohol
Dosage and administration of
Propolis tincture is used only locally in the form of applications, rinses, rinses, and also in the form of inhalations.
With propolis microtrauma, tincture is applied with a tampon to the affected area of ² ¹ ² ¹the skin or mucous membrane 2-3 times a day.
With otitis media, the tampon moistened with tincture is introduced into the external auditory meatus (after cleansing) for 1-2 minutes, or 1-2 drops of the drug are instilled 3-4 times a day.
With pharyngitis and propolis tonsillitis, tincture lubricates the mucous membranes of the pharynx and tonsils 2-3 times a day for 8-15 days. In chronic tonsillitis, the drug is also used to prepare an inhalation solution, mixing Propolis tincture with water in a ratio of 1:20. Spend 1-2 inhalations per day for 7-10 days.
The sinuses are washed with a mixture of propolis tincture with saline (0.9% sodium chloride solution) in a ratio of 1:10 2 times a day for 2 weeks.
In case of periodontal disease, tampons (turundas) moistened with propolis tincture are injected into the periodontal cavity for 5 minutes.
To rinse the mouth with superficial lesions and damage to the mucous membrane, apply a solution prepared by diluting 30-40 drops of Propolis tincture in 100 ml of warm water. Rinses are carried out 4-5 times a day for 3-4 days.
