The mechanism of action of the praziquantel and pyrantel pamoate, which are part of the drug, is based on the inhibition of fumarate reductase, persistent depolarization of the helminth muscle cells, impaired energy metabolism, which causes paralysis and death of helminths and helps to eliminate them from the gastrointestinal tract.

When administered orally, praziquantel is rapidly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract, reaching a maximum plasma concentration after 1-3 hours, and is distributed in the animal ² „¢s organs and tissues, excreted mainly in the urine (up to 80%) within 24 hours . Pyrantel pamoate is poorly absorbed, which ensures its prolonged effect on helminths in the intestine, is excreted from the body mainly in unchanged form with feces (93%).
