Dosage and administration
Sage leaves are prescribed as an infusion – externally, for washing, rinsing, lotions and baths, iontophoresis, applications.
To prepare the infusion for external use, 5 g (1 tablespoon) of the raw material is placed in an enamel bowl, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of boiled water, cover, cover with a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cool for 45 minutes at room temperature, filter, wring out.
The volume of the resulting infusion was adjusted with boiled water to 200 ml.
Side effects

Overdose
If used correctly (topically), an overdose is unlikely.
When ingested in high doses (more than 15 g of dried leaves) symptoms:
tachycardia, tinnitus, vomiting, convulsions.
Treatment: symptomatic.
