Hepaseif refers to hepatotropic drugs.

Indications
Hepaseif is prescribed for dogs and cats for the complex treatment and prevention of acute and chronic liver diseases of various etiologies, including infectious, invasive diseases and toxic liver damage, as well as to reduce side effects when prescribing hepatotoxic chemotherapeutic agents, as well as dystrophy fatty liver and for the correction of lipid metabolism disorders.
Contraindications
Contraindication to the use of the drug Hepaseif is an individual hypersensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug.
Composition
The preparation contains in 1 ml as active ingredients: silymarin – 12 mg, vitamin E – 2 mg and excipients.
Dosage and administration
The drug is administered to dogs and cats intramuscularly at a dose of 0.1 ml per 1 kg of animal weight (1.2 mg silymarin and 0.2 mg vitamin E per 1 kg) once a day. The duration of the course of treatment is 7-14 days, depending on the course of the pathological process.
For preventive purposes, the drug is administered at a dose of 0.1 ml per 1 kg of animal weight once.
Side effects
Side effects and complications when using the drug Hepaseif in accordance with the instructions, as a rule, are not observed. With increased individual sensitivity to the drug and the manifestation of allergic reactions, the use of the drug is stopped and, if necessary, antihistamines and symptomatic therapy are prescribed to the animal.
Storage conditions
Store Hepaseif in a closed manufacturer’s packaging, in a place protected from light and moisture, separately from food and feed at a temperature of 2 ° C to 25 ° C.
Expiration
Expiration of the drug, subject to storage conditions – 1 year from the date of manufacture. After the first opening of the vial, the drug should be stored for no more than 10 days at a temperature of 2 ° C to 10 ° C. It is forbidden to use the drug after the expiration date.
