Pharmacological action
Combined preparation with local anesthetic and antimicrobial action for local application.
Lidocaine hydrochloride – has a local anesthetic effect, which is due to inhibition of nerve conduction due to blockade of sodium channels.
Cetylpyridinium chloride is an antiseptic. Suppresses the growth of a number of bacteria and fungi.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to lidocaine, cetylpyridine or any other component of the drug Kalgel.
renal or hepatic insufficiency,
arterial hypotension,
heart failure of the II-III degree,
disturbance of intraventricular conduction,
bradycardia.

Before using Calgel, be sure to consult a pediatrician.
A small amount of gel (about 7.5 mm) is applied to the tip of a clean finger and gently rubbed into the inflamed area of ² ¹ ² ¹the baby ² ¢s gums.
If necessary, the gel can be applied repeatedly with an interval of at least 20 minutes, but no more than 6 times a day.
Special instructions
The recommended dose should not be exceeded, since the possibility of swallowing the drug during feeding and during sleep should be considered.
Allergic reactions (urticaria, pruritus, anaphylactic shock) are possible. There may be a violation of swallowing.
If during the application of the gel signs of allergy appear, the drug should be discontinued and consult a doctor.
Vomiting, pallor of the skin, bradycardia, depression of the respiratory center, apnea. In case of an overdose, Kalgel must be canceled and a doctor consulted.
