Pharmacological action of
The active principle of the drug is the ester of borneol and isovalerianic acid.
It has a mild sedative effect, which occurs slowly but is stable enough.
In addition, the drug has an antispasmodic effect on the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract.
Indications
Used for increased nervous irritability (neurasthenia) and sleep disorders.
Intended use is based on continuous experience only.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to valerian, as well as auxiliary components of the drug, pregnancy, lactation, children under 12 years of age.

With prolonged use in high doses, psychomotor reactions may be reduced, which should be taken into account when driving vehicles, working with mechanisms, etc.
Composition
Each tablet contains – active substance: valerian extract thick (from rhizomes with valerian roots, extractant – ethyl alcohol 40% (v / v)) – 20 mg,
excipients: basic magnesium carbonate, potato starch, talc, gelatin, sugar, titanium dioxide pigment, beeswax, paraffin, sunflower oil, quinoline yellow E 104, colloidal silicon dioxide.
Dosage and administration of
In case of increased nervous irritability (neurasthenia): from 20 mg to 100 mg (1-5 tablets), taken up to 6 times a day, depending on the general tolerance and achievement of a sedative effect.
In case of sleep disorders: from 20 mg to 100 mg (1-5 tablets) for half an hour – one hour before bedtime, if necessary, preliminary administration of the drug (1-5 tablets) in the evening is recommended.
The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the doctor, taking into account the characteristics of the disease, the effect achieved and the tolerability of the drug.
Features of use in patients with impaired liver and / or kidney function: information is absent.
Use in children
Safety of use in children under 12 years of age has not been established. Due to the lack of sufficient data, it is not recommended to prescribe children under 12 years of age.
Side effects
Lethargy, weakness (especially when used in high doses).
For prolonged use: constipation.
In some cases: possible development of allergic reactions.
Drug Interactions
Enhances the effect of sleeping pills and sedatives, as well as antispasmodics.

Symptoms: overdose is accompanied by an increase in the side effects of the drug, discomfort from the gastrointestinal tract, depression, drowsiness or agitation, nausea, vomiting.
