Pharmacological properties

It has local irritating and analgesic effects. The neurotropic component of snake venom, which is part of the composition, has an analgesic effect, an enzymatic component with hyaluronidase activity accelerates the healing process. Causes irritation of the sensitive receptors of the skin and subcutaneous tissue, dilates blood vessels, improves trophic tissue.

Indications

Diseases of the musculoskeletal system and peripheral nervous system, accompanied by pain: arthritis of various etiologies, arthralgia, neuralgia, myalgia.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug, skin diseases (including allergic and pustular, impaired skin integrity at the site ofdrug), active pulmonary tuberculosis, feverish conditions, general exhaustion, severe insufficiency of cerebral and coronary circulation, tendency to angiospasm, severe hepatic or renal failure, pregnancy, lactation, intolerance to salicylates, children under 6 years of age.

With caution

Children’s age from 6 to 18 years (the need for the use of the drug in children is determined by the doctor individually). Indications of a history of bronchial asthma provoked by the use of acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

The drug is contraindicated for use during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

Special instructions

After using the drug, wash your hands thoroughly. Avoid contact with ointment in the eyes, mucous membranes and damaged skin. If ointment enters the eyes or mucous membranes, rinse them with plenty of water.

Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms

There is no information on the possible effect of the drug on the ability to perform potentially hazardous activities that require an increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (including driving, working with moving mechanisms).

Composition

Description: An ointment of white or white with a slightly yellowish tint has a smell of camphor and turpentine.

Dosage and administration

Outwardly, 5-10 g (1-2 teaspoons) of the ointment is applied in parts to the area of ??painful areas and rubbed into the skin 1 time / day, with severe pain – 2 times / day until the pain disappears syndrome, but not more than 10 days without consulting a doctor.

Side effects

The burning sensation that occurs during rubbing usually disappears in a few minutes. In isolated cases – skin allergic reactions that disappear after discontinuation of the drug.

Drug interaction

The drug causes hyperemia of the skin and reflexively enhances blood circulation in the subcutaneous tissue, and therefore combined use with other drugs of local action can lead to increased absorption. The use of large quantities can increase the toxicity of methotrexate and reduce the therapeutic effect of hypoglycemic agents. Do not use the drug with oral anticoagulants.

Overdose
