Pharmacological action
Combines the properties of the theophylline and nicotinic acid substances: it dilates peripheral vessels, improves collateral circulation, enhances oxidative phosphorylation and synthesis of adenosine triphosphate. By reducing peripheral resistance and increasing myocardial contractions, the drug helps to increase the minute volume of blood. Xanthinol nicotinate enhances cerebral circulation and reduces the severity of the effects of cerebral hypoxia.
Indications
Used in adults with arteriosclerosis obliterans of the lower extremities, Raynaud ² ¢s disease, diabetic angiopathy, acute thrombophlebitis of superficial and deep veins and postthrombophlebic syndrome, trophic ulcers of the lower extremities, pressure ulcers, Migrein dermatosis, character.
Contraindications
Bleeding, myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, first trimester of pregnancy.
Special instructions
Use with caution with labile blood pressure.

Active ingredient: xanthinol nicotinate – 150 mg
Excipients: corn starch, lactose (milk sugar), povidone (polyvinylpyrrolidone), calcium stearate, calcium monohydrate (1).
Dosage and administration
Inside, after eating, without chewing, take 1 (if necessary 2-4) tablet 3 times a day for 2 months.
Side effects
On the part of the cardiovascular system: possibly a decrease in blood pressure, a transient sensation of heat, redness of the skin.
From the digestive system: rarely – nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, gastralgia with prolonged use in high doses, an increase in the level of transaminases and alkaline phosphatase is possible.
Other: weakness, dizziness with prolonged use at high doses, glucose tolerance may change, increased serum uric acid levels.
Drug interaction
With simultaneous use with drugs that have a hypotensive effect (beta-blockers, ergot alkaloids, alpha-blockers, sympatholytics, ganglion blockers), with strophanthin, a sharp increase in their action is possible.
