Pharmacological action

Rinorus – belongs to the group of local vasoconstrictors (decongestants) with alpha-adrenomimetic activity, causes narrowing of the blood vessels of the nasal mucosa, eliminating edema and hyperemia of the nasal mucosa, restores patency of the nasal passages, facilitates nasal breathing.

The action of the drug occurs a few minutes after its use and lasts up to 10 hours

Indications

acute rhinitis (including for acute respiratory diseases)

allergic rhinitis (if there is no allergy to eucalyptus oil)

sinusitis (sinusitis, frontal sinusitis)

otitis media (as part of combination therapy to reduce swelling of the mucosa) .

Composition

xylometazoline hydrochloride 1 mg

Excipients: benzalkonium chloride, sodium chloride, disodium edetate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, sodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, eucalyptus oil, water d / i.

Dosage and administration

Adults and children over 6 years of age are given 2-3 injections of 0, Rinorus 1% solution in each nasal passage 3-4 times a day.

Do not use more than 3 times a day.

Do not use the drug without a break for more than 3-5 days.

Side effects

Local reactions: with frequent and / or prolonged use – irritation and / or dryness of the mucous membrane of the nasopharynx, burning, paresthesia, sneezing, hypersecretion rarely – swelling of the nasal mucosa.

Systemic reactions: vomiting, headache, palpitations, increased blood pressure, insomnia, visual impairment, depression (with prolonged use of high doses).

Drug Interactions

It is possible to enhance systemic effects while using MAO inhibitors and tricyclic antidepressants.

Overdose of

Symptoms: increased side effects.

Treatment: symptomatic under medical supervision.
