Pharmacological action
Dr. IOM – combined herbal medicine with expectorant and anti-inflammatory effect.
The effects of the drug are due to the properties of its constituent components.
Naked licorice extract (Glycyrrhiza glabra) Has an expectorant, anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic effect.
Ginger officinalis extract (Zingiber officinale) It has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.
Extract of the emblica officinalis (Emblica officinalis) It has anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects.
Menthol Has an analgesic, antispasmodic and antiseptic effect.
Indications
Symptomatic treatment of acute and chronic diseases of the upper respiratory tract, accompanied by dry cough: Pharyngitis.
Laryngitis (including professional lecture laryngitis).
Tracheitis.
Bronchitis.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
The drug is not recommended for use during pregnancy and lactation due to lack of clinical data.
Special instructions
The drug contains sugar, which must be considered when prescribing it to patients with diabetes mellitus, as well as to people on a low-calorie diet.
Composition
1 lozenge contains dry extracts isolated from:
Glycyrrhhiza glabra roots 15 mg,
Rhizome of ginger officinalis (Zingiber officinale) 10 mg,
Fruits of the embryo officinalis (Emblica officinalis) 10 mg,
Levomenthol 7 mg.
Dosing and Administration
Adults are prescribed 1 lozenge every 2 hours. Lozenges should be slowly absorbed in the mouth.
The maximum daily dose is 10 lozenges.
The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks.

Drug Interactions
Concomitant use with antitussive drugs, as well as with drugs that reduce the production of sputum, is not recommended. this makes it difficult to discharge liquefied sputum.
