Pharmacological action of
Due to its participation in various metabolic processes, glucose has a diverse effect on the body: it enhances redox processes, improves the antitoxic function of the liver, entering the tissues, phosphorylates, turning into glucose-6-phosphate, which is actively involved in many parts of the body’s metabolism, being a source of valuable easily digestible nutrient. With the metabolism of glucose in the tissues, a significant amount of energy is released, which is necessary for the vital activity of the body.

Special instructions
In case of renal failure, hyponatremia, special care is required when prescribing glucose, monitoring of central hemodynamics is necessary.

Glucose may be used as indicated during pregnancy and lactation.
Use in pediatrics:
Use in children under 5 years of age is difficult due to the inability to ensure the proper administration of the drug in tablet form.

Glucose intake does not affect the patient’s ability to drive a motor vehicle or other operator activities.
Composition
Active substances: dextrose monohydrate – 500 mg
Excipients: talc – 6 mg, stearic acid – 4 mg.
Dosage and administration
Apply orally or sublingually, dissolving the tablet.
Dosage and duration of use depend on the patient’s condition. In severe hypoglycemic reactions, 1-2 tablets are absorbed every 5 minutes until the signs of hypoglycemia are eliminated (sweating, tremor, tachycardia, weakness). With mild hypoglycemia, oral administration of 3-4 tablets every 15-30 minutes is possible until the condition improves.
In case of poisoning with hepatotropic poisons, 1-2 tablets are prescribed orally every 2-3 hours.
In complex rehydration therapy, 1-2 tablets per 1 liter of salt solution for rehydration are prescribed.
Side effects
Hypervolemia, hypokalemia, hyperglycemia.
Drug interaction sidlkp reactivates and reduces the effect of cardiac oxidation. An interval of 1 hour should be provided between oral administration of glycosides and glucose. It weakens the effect of analgesic, adrenomimetic drugs, inactivates streptomycin, reduces the effectiveness of nystatin.
Overdose of
With the introduction of high doses, hyperglycemia may develop, accompanied by thirst, polyuria, polydipsia, in severe cases – the development of acute left ventricular failure.
Relief measures: drug withdrawal, symptomatic therapy.
