Pharmacological action
Octenisept has an antiseptic effect.
Active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, viruses, such as Herpes simplex virus and hepatitis B virus, as well as against yeast-like fungi and dermatophytes. Systemic absorption of the drug with external and local application is extremely negligible.
Indications
Treatment of skin and mucous membranes before diagnostic and surgical measures in pediatric, surgical and obstetric-gynecological practice, proctology, otolaryngology, dentistry.
In traumatology for the treatment of wound and burn surfaces.
In dermatovenerology for the prevention and treatment of foot mycoses and interdigital mycoses.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Allergic reactions.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Studies on the use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation have not been conducted. Due to the extremely insignificant systemic absorption of the drug, its use during pregnancy and lactation is possible if the potential benefit to the mother outweighs the risk to the fetus.
Special instructions
Do not swallow. In infants and young children, apply the drug with tampons or by spraying to avoid swallowing the drug. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water.
