Lugol solution with glycerin is an anti-inflammatory and antibacterial drug based on molecular iodine, which has an antiseptic effect, and glycerin, which has a softening effect.
Indications
Lugol’s solution with glycerin is used in various inflammatory processes of the mucous membranes of the pharynx and larynx – with chronic laryngitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis.
Contraindications
Iodism may occur.

Dosage and administration
The drug can be used for both adults and children. Lugol’s solution with glycerin is applied externally. A swab moistened with the drug lubricates the mucous membranes of the pharynx and larynx.

Side effects
The drug is usually well tolerated, but with prolonged use, overdose or hypersensitivity, iodism phenomena (runny nose, urticaria, salivation, muscle weakness, lethargy, Quincke edema, etc.) may appear.
