Pharmacological action

Thymogen – immunostimulatory agent, dipeptide. It has a regulatory effect on the reactions of cellular, humoral immunity and nonspecific resistance of the body. Stimulates regeneration processes in the event of inhibition. Improves the course of cellular metabolism.

Enhances the expression of differentiation receptors on lymphocytes, normalizes the number of T-helpers, cytotoxic T-lymphocytes and their ratio in patients with various immunodeficiency states.

Indications

The results of clinical trials show that the drug Timogen in the dosage form cream meets the requirements presented to external therapy in the treatment of chronic dermatoses (atopic dermatitis, strobulus, microbial eczema and pyoderma) in children. The drug suppresses inflammation in the focus, reducing swelling and hyperemia of the skin, reduces itching, helps to quickly restore skin integrity and eliminates its dryness, thereby improving the barrier function of the skin. In addition, by providing immunocorrective effect, Timogen increases the protective function of the skin.

Composition of

1 g of cream for external use contains:

active ingredient: thymogen (glutamyl tryptophan monosodium salt) 500 ?g

excipients: petrolatum, petroleum jelly, polyethylene glycol sorbitan monostearate, glycerol, glycerol cetyl alcohol, diethylene glycol monoethyl ether, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (nipagin), xantham gum, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, purified water

Dosage and administration

The cream is applied in a thin layer to the affected area 1-2 times a day (morning and evening). After applying the cream, the affected area should not be covered with a bandage.

The recommended daily dose is 2 g of cream (1000 mcg of thymogen). A strip of cream from a tube with a diameter of 5 mm and a length of 4 cm has a mass of 1 g.

Course duration: until local symptoms of the disease subside, but no more than 20 days.
