Description
Pharmacological action
Immunofan has an effect on the restoration of congenital and acquired disorders of cellular and humoral immunity. The drug increases antibacterial and antiviral resistance, the system of early antitumor defense of the body, has immunoregulatory, anti-inflammatory, detoxification and hepatoprotective effects. Increases the genetic stability of cells, reduces the damaging effect of free radical products during chemical, radiation exposure and damage by radionuclides.
According to the degree of exposure to the body, Immunofan belongs to hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007 (low-hazard substances). In recommended doses and concentrations it does not have a local irritant and resorptive toxic effect.
Indications
For preventive and therapeutic purposes for farm animals, birds, fur animals, dogs and cats:
– for diseases of the viral and bacterial etiology
– for stressful animals (transportation, regrouping, weighing animals, changing feeds, etc. )
– during vaccination of animals
– during the prevention and treatment of intestinal and respiratory diseases.
Contraindications
Increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug.
Special instructions
There are no specific features of the effect of the drug during its first use and its withdrawal.
Use of the drug does not preclude the use of other drugs.
Products of animal origin during and after the use of Immunofan are allowed to be used without restrictions.
Composition
Injectable 0.005% aqueous solution of immunofan – a synthetic hexapeptide (arginyl-alpha-aspartyl-lysyl-valyl-tyrosyl-arginine) and excipients.
Dosage and administration
The drug is administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly in a dose of 1 ml for animals weighing up to 100 kg, 2-3 ml from 100 to 500 kg, 4-5 ml – over 500 kg. When vaccinating birds, immunofan is mixed with the vaccine at the rate of 1 ml of the drug per 30 birds. For the treatment of parainfluenza, infectious rhinotracheitis, combined adenovirus and rhinotracheal infection once every other day 3-4 times, gastrointestinal diseases and viral enteritis once every other day 2-3 times, plague carnivores once every other day 5-6 times, for the treatment of intrauterine infections once every other day 5 times.
Avoid skipping the next dose of the drug in the course of use prescribed by the treatment regimen. With a random increase in the interval between treatments, the use of the drug is resumed in the same dose according to the same scheme.
Side effects
When using the drug in accordance with the instructions, side effects and complications, as a rule, are not observed.
