Pharmacological action
A drug that improves the functional state of the retina for systemic use.
Blueberry anthocyanozodes (Vaccinium myrtilus) stimulate the synthesis and regeneration of rhodopsin (the photosensitive retinal pigment), increasing its sensitivity to changes in light intensity.
Improves visual acuity and dark adaptation in low light.
Promotes improved retinal circulation.
Indications
Myopia of medium and high degree.
Acquired hemeralopia.
Diabetic retinopathy.
Violation of the mechanisms of adaptation of vision to darkness (with night and twilight vision).
Muscular asthenopia.
Central atherosclerotic retinal degeneration of the Kunt-Unius type.
Tapetoretinal retinal abiotrophy (retinal pigment degeneration).
Contraindications
Individual hypersensitivity to the active substance of the drug or to any auxiliary ingredients that make up its composition.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
There are currently no reliable data on the use of the drug Mirtilene forte during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding). Therefore, the drug should be used in these categories of patients only if the expected benefit exceeds the potential risk.
Composition
1 capsule contains: dry extract of blueberry fruit 177 mg.
Excipients: soybean oil, hydrogenated vegetable fats, gelatin, glycerol, iron oxide red, iron oxide black, sodium ethyl parahydroxybenzoate, sodium propyl parahydroxybenzoate.
Dosage and administration
The drug is administered orally in 1 capsule 3 times / day. The course of treatment is 1 month.
