Pharmacological action
Cofetamine has an anti-migraine effect.
Indications
Vasoparalytic form of migraine
arterial hypotension
as a means of lowering intracranial pressure in vascular, traumatic and infectious lesions of the central nervous system.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of cofetamine
decompensated diseases of the cardiovascular system, severe hypertension or atherosclerosis
pregnancy
lactation.
Precautions (relative contraindications): sleep disturbance
increased irritability
anxiety disorders (agoraphobia, panic disorders)
organic diseases of the cardiovascular system (myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, atherosclerosis, paroxysmal tachycardia, ventricle, ventricle peripheral vascular disease obliterans)
hepatic and / or renal failure
glaucoma (increased intraocular pressure)
advanced age.
Composition
1 table. contains 100 mg caffeine, ergotamine tartrate 1 mg
Dosage and administration
Cofetamine is taken orally by 1-2 tablets. during a headache attack 2 times a day, then 1 tablet. 2-3 times a day for several days (up to 1 month). The maximum single dose is 2 tablets, daily – 4 tablets.
It is not recommended to use Cofetamine for a long time (in order to avoid the phenomena of ergotism): after 7 days of use in cases requiring a longer treatment, take a break (for 3-4 days).
Side effects of
From the nervous system: agitation, anxiety, tremor, anxiety, headache, dizziness, cramps, paresthesia in the extremities, increased reflexes, tachypnea, insomnia with sudden cancellation – CNS inhibition, increased fatigue, drowsiness.
From the cardiovascular system: palpitations, tachycardia, cardialgia, hypertension (increased blood pressure).
From the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
Allergic reactions: edema, pruritus.
Other: with prolonged use – weakness in the legs, myalgia, Lerish syndrome (cyanosis, lack of pulse on the lower extremities, pain, distal sensitivity).
