Pharmacological action
Venolek – angioprotective agent.
The active substance of the drug – diosmin belongs to the group of natural biologically active compounds. The composition of the drug also includes flavonoids – hesperidin.
The drug has an angioprotective and venotonic effect. Reduces the extensibility of veins, increases their tone and reduces venous congestion, reduces permeability, fragility of capillaries andincreases their resistance improves microcirculation and lymph drainage.
With systematic use, reduces the severity of the clinical manifestations of chronic venous insufficiency of the lower extremities.
Indications
Symptomatic therapy of venous insufficiency of the lower extremities: a feeling of heaviness and pain in the legs.
Symptomatic treatment of acute hemorrhoids.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, lactation. Children under 18 years old.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
During pregnancy, the use of Venolek is possible. Experimental and clinical studies have not shown embryotoxic, mutagenic and teratogenic effects.
To date, there have been no reports of any undesirable effects when using the drug in pregnant women, however, it is necessary to assess the risk and benefit when prescribing the drug to pregnant women.
In case of lactation, taking the drug is not recommended due to the lack of data on the penetration of the drug into breast milk.
Special instructions
With exacerbation of hemorrhoids, the use of this drug does not replace the specific treatment of other symptoms of hemorrhoids. The duration of treatment should be short. In the event that a short therapy does not give a positive effect, it is necessary to conduct a proctological examination and review the applied therapy.

Dosage and administration of
Venolek taken orally with food. With venous insufficiency – 2 tablets per day (at noon and in the evening).
In acute hemorrhoids – 6 tablets per day (3 tablets 2 times) for the first 4 days, then 4 tablets per day (2 tablets 2 times) for 3 days.
Side effects
Diarrhea, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headache, malaise, allergic reactions (skin rash, itching).
