Pharmacological action of

Insect acaricidal drops of Bloch Net have a detrimental effect on larvae and mature ticks of the family Ixodidae, ticks Sarcoptes cati, Otodectes cynotis, Notoedres cati, insects Linognathus cetosifesus setosifesis insects Linus cichonidae insects, Linognathus cetosifesis setosifesis insects Linus, Trichomes cantis felidae, Linognathus cetosphisetosifesis insects Linus, Trichocephalidae, and Linognathus cetosphisetosifosifosifosiformes cenotisis Linus cichonidae The drug has repellent properties against blood-sucking insects (gnats) from the Culicidae family. The high therapeutic effectiveness of the drops is due to the presence in their composition of a complex of compounds that have an insect-acaricidal effect, which is expressed in that fipronil blocks GABA-dependent receptors of the parasite and disrupts neuromuscular transmission, which leads to paralysis and death of the latter, in turn, benzyl benzoate accumulates in the body of the parasite in toxic concentrations for it, and dimethyl phthalate, remaining on the surface of the skin and hair of the treated animal, It has a deterrent (repellent) effect. BlochNet drops, according to the degree of influence on the body of warm-blooded animals, are classified as moderately hazardous substances and, in the recommended doses, do not have a locally irritating, resorptive-toxic and sensitizing effect.

Dose, ml

0 to 5 5 (15 drops)

from 5

Processing is carried out as follows: it is necessary to spread the animal’s hair and apply the drug to the skin at several points inaccessible for licking (at the base of the skull, between the shoulder blades and along the back). The duration of repellent action is: from gnats – 1 – 2 days from fleas – 1.5 – 2 months from other ectoparasites within 1 month. Repeated procedure should be carried out no more than once a month. For the treatment of cat entomoses (flea atopic dermatitis, scab), the drug is used at the above dosages. Parasites die within 24 hours after the application of the drug. With otodectosis (scabies), before using the drug, the external auditory canal is cleaned of crusts and scabs with a cotton swab moistened with the drug. Then the drug is instilled into each ear 3-4 drops and fold the auricle in half, lightly massaging at the base, for uniform distribution of the drug. Processing is carried out 2 times a day with an interval of 7 to 10 days. In advanced cases of otodectosis complicated by otitis media, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory drugs are prescribed. If necessary, repeat the treatment. The drug is administered in both ears, even in cases of otodectosis only one ear. If an ixodid tick is found on the skin of an animal, 1 drop of the drug should be applied to the parasite. If after 20 minutes the tick does not spontaneously fall off, then it must be removed with tweezers. In order to prevent re-infestation, the animal litter should be replaced or treated with an insect-acaricidal spray in accordance with the instructions for use.
