Pharmacological action

Ophthalmoferon has a wide spectrum of antiviral activity, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, antimicrobial, local anesthetic and regenerative effects.
Indications
Adenovirus, hemorrhagic (enterovirus), herpetic conjunctivitis.
Adenovirus, herpetic (vesicular, punctate, treelike, cartoid) keratitis.
Herpetic stromal keratitis with ulceration of the cornea and without ulceration.
Adenoviral and herpetic keratoconjunctivitis.
Herpetic uveitis.
Herpetic keratouveitis (with and without ulceration).
Contraindications
Individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
Composition of

Interferon human recombinant alpha-2 – not less than 10000 ME.
Diphenhydramine – 0.001 g
Boric acid – 0.0031 g
Excipients
Polyvinylpyrrolidone – 0.01 g, polyethylene oxide – 0.05 g, Trilon B – 0.0004 g, hypromellose – 0.003 g, sodium chloride – 0.004 g, sodium acetate – 0.007 g.
Dosage and administration of
In the acute stage of the disease, Ophthalmoferon is used in the form of instillations in the eyes, 1-2 drops up to 6-8 times a day. As the inflammatory process is stopped, the number of instillations is reduced to 2-3 times a day.
The course of treatment is continued until the symptoms of the disease disappear.
