Pharmacological action of

Peripheral vasodilator with a primary effect on venous vessels. Cardiket has an antianginal and hypotensive effect.

The mechanism of action is associated with dilatation of blood vessels (mainly post-capillary) and large arteries. Dilation of the vessels of the postcapillary bed leads to venous deposition of blood and a decrease in venous return of blood to the heart. As a result of a decrease in left ventricular filling (a decrease in preload), myocardial oxygen demand decreases, which helps to increase capillary blood flow, open the lumen of previously non-functioning intramural coronary vessels, and also improve oxygen supply to the ischemic subendocardial region.

Dilatation of precapillary vessels leads to a decrease in systolic pressure in the aorta and OPSS (decrease in afterload). As a result, the cardiac output of the left ventricle and the myocardial oxygen demand are reduced.

Direct dilatation of the coronary vessels and a slight decrease in the resistance of the coronary vessels improve myocardial perfusion and oxygen supply without the development of a robbery syndrome.
