Description
Pharmacological action
Permethrin, which is part of the drug, belongs to the group of synthetic pyrethroids. The action is due to a violation of the ion permeability of the sodium channels and inhibition of polarization (repolarization) of the membrane of nerve cells of ectoparasites such as arthropods, which leads to a paralyzing effect.
Given shampoo according to the degree of exposure to the body, it belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), at the recommended doses it does not have a skin-irritating and resorptive-toxic effect, it causes slight irritation of the mucous membranes. The drug is toxic to fish and bees.
Indications
Dana shampoo is used to kill entomosis pathogens in dogs and cats, including fleas, lice and lice.
Contraindications
Contraindication to the use of the drug is individual intolerance to the components of the drug (including a history). Infectious diseases and convalescent animals should not be treated.
Recommendations for use
Before processing, the skin of the animal’s skin is plentifully moistened with warm water and then shampoo is applied at the rate of 0.5-1.0 ml per 1 kg of the animal’s weight, rubbed lightly until foam forms, avoiding contact with eyes and preventing licking an insecticidal preparation to animals. After 5 to 7 minutes, the shampoo is thoroughly washed off with warm water, the hair is combed with a comb and dried.
Repeated treatments are performed as indicated. To prevent re-infection of animals with fleas, the litter is replaced or treated with Dana shampoo in a dilution with water (1: 2) with a flow rate of 10 ml / m2 of the treated surface. For three days, the animal is not allowed to come in contact with the litter, and before subsequent use it is washed with a detergent.
