Pharmacological action
KiltiksВ® collar is a product that helps you protect your dog from tick and flea bites for 6 months. It is recommended to wear a collar constantly. Just put the collar on the dog. The drug is a German manufacturer Bayer.
Indications
For the destruction of fleas, lice, gnats, and ixodid ticks that parasitize dogs, and also to protect animals from attack, especially in the warm season (during the period of increased activity of parasites).
Contraindications
The collar should not be used in patients with infectious diseases and recovering animals, lactating and pregnant females, and puppies younger than 2 months of age. With increased individual sensitivity of the animal to propoxur or flumetrin and with signs of skin irritation, collar use is discontinued.
Recommendations on the use of
After opening the packaging, the collar is opened, the plastic jumpers are removed from the inside and put on the animal, fitting in size so so that between the neck of the animal and the collar there is a gap of 1-1.5 cm, then the free end of the tape is passed through the loop and the excess is cut off. Continuous use of the collar ensures the destruction and protection of dogs from insects and ticks for 7 months. In the first days of using the collar, ticks may be attacked and attached to the body of animals, but after 2 to 3 days, the parasites spontaneously disappear. With a strong degree of invasion, before using the collar, it is advisable to wash the animal with an insecticidal shampoo and treat the litter with an insecticide in accordance with the instructions for their use.
Composition
There are two active components in the collar – propoxur and flumetrin.
В· Propoxur acts on lice, adult fleas, as well as flea larvae in the environment surrounding the pet.
В· Flumetrin repels and destroys ticks at all stages of its development (larva, nymph, adult).
