A mixture of whole flower baskets, individual tubular flowers, receptacle, and pieces of flower stalks of tansy.
Color is greenish-yellow with brown spots.
The smell is peculiar.
The taste of water extract is spicy, bitter.
Pharmacological action
Infusion of tansy flowers has an anthelmintic and choleretic effect.
Indications
As an anthelmintic for ascariasis and enterobiosis.
As a choleretic agent for chronic non-calculous cholecystitis, hypomotor biliary dyskinesia (in complex therapy).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug, cholelithiasis.
Pregnancy, lactation.
Age to 18 years.
Composition of
Tansy flowers.
Dosage and administration
About 5 g (1 tablespoon) of the flowers are placed in an enamel bowl, 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water are poured, covered with a lid and heated in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cooled at room temperature 45 min, filter, the remaining raw materials are squeezed. The volume of the resulting infusion was adjusted with boiled water to 200 ml.
The infusion is taken orally 15 minutes before meals: as an anthelmintic, 1/2 to 1/3 cup 2 to 3 times a day for 3 days, then a laxative. If necessary, the drug can be repeated after 7-14 days
as a choleretic agent – 1-2 tablespoons 2-3 times a day.
Shake the infusion before use.
Side effects
Allergic reactions possible.
Overdose
When using the drug in doses exceeding the recommended, overdose phenomena are possible: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
Treatment is symptomatic.
Storage conditions
In a dry, dark place.
Ready infusion – in a cool place no more than 2 days.
Keep out of the reach of children.
