Description
Pharmacological action
Adsorbent and antidiarrheal agent of natural origin. It has a protective effect on the intestinal mucosa, has a pronounced adsorbing and mild enveloping effect. It is a stabilizer of the mucous barrier, penetrates the mucus and increases its lifespan, forming a physical barrier that protects the mucous membrane of the digestive tract from the negative effects of H + ions, intestinal microorganisms and their toxins.
Indications
Symptomatic treatment of pain associated with diseases of the esophagus, stomach, duodenum, intestinal colic, acute and chronic diarrhea (especially in children).
Special instructions
The interval between taking diosmectitis and other medicines should be 1-2 hours.
Composition
1 pack – dioctahedral smectite – 3 g,
Excipients: caramel-cocoa flavor * – 0.1 g, xanthan gum – 0.03 g, citric acid monohydrate – 0.02 g, ascorbic acid – 0.01 g, potassium sorbate – 0.01 g, sucralose – 0.00375 g, purified water – up to 10 g.
* Caramel-cocoa flavoring consists of natural flavors 2.7%, flavors 1%, natural flavors 0.3%, caffeine 0.04%, caramel dye (E150d) 0.06%, caramelized sugar syrup 49.8%, propylene glycol (E1520) 22.4%, ethanol 8.6%, water 15%.
Dosage and administration
When taken orally for adults, the daily dose is 9 g. For children over the age of 2 years – 6-9 g / day, at the age of 1-2 years – 6 g / day, under the age of 1 year – 3 g / day.
Side effects
In some cases: constipation, allergic reactions.
Drug Interactions
When taken orally, diosmectite decreases the rate and / or degree of absorption of other drugs.
