Gaviscon ® Double action effectively relieves both heartburn and heaviness in the stomach:
1) quickly neutralizes excess stomach acid
2) enters the stomach and interacts with its contents, forming a protective barrier (raft), which prevents the occurrence of heartburn.
Indications
Treatment of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux, such as acidic belching, heartburn, dyspepsia, a feeling of heaviness in the stomach arising after eating in patients with increased acidity of gastric juice or during pregnancy.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the phenylketonuria drug (see special instructions section)
renal failure of moderate to severe severity
children under 12 years of age.
Caution
If you have the following diseases or conditions, you should consult your doctor before using the drug: hypercalcemia, nephrocalcinosis and urolithiasis with the formation of calcium-oxalate stones (see section Special Instructions ) congestive heart failure (see section Special Instructions ) renal failure of mild severity (see section “Special instructions”).
Composition
Active ingredients: sodium alginate 250 mg, sodium bicarbonate 106.5 mg, calcium carbonate 187.5 mg
Excipients: mannitol 598.799 mg, macrogol-20,000 30 mg, copovidone 33.75 mg, potassium acesulfame 5.863 mg, aspartame 5.863 mg, dye azorubine (11012) 0.375 mg, mint flavor 18.75 mg, xylitol (DC) 100 mg, magnesium stearate 6.75-12.6 mg.
Dosage and administration
Inside, after thorough chewing. Adults and children over 12 years of age: 2 ² 4 tablets after a meal and at bedtime (up to 4 times a day). The maximum daily dose is 16 tablets. For patients elderly dosage changes are not required.
Side effects
The frequency of adverse reactions was estimated based on the following criteria: very often ( 1/10), often ( 1/100, <1/10), infrequently ( 1/1000, <1/100) , rarely ( 1/10 000, <1/1000), very rarely (< 1/10 000) and the frequency is unknown (the frequency cannot be calculated from the available data). From the side of the immune system: frequency is unknown – anaphylactic and anaphylactoid reactions, hypersensitivity reactions (urticaria). From the respiratory system: frequency unknown – respiratory effects (bronchospasm).
