Description
(E. coli, Salmonella, Shigella, Enterobakter aerogenes, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus spp., Actinobacillus spp., Campylobakter fetus subsp.jejuni, Mycoplasma). Salicylic acid has a calming and disinfecting effect on tissues. Triamcinolone acetone is a semi-synthetic corticosteroid that has a calming and anti-inflammatory effect.
Indications
Treatment of acute bacterial and yeast ear infections (mainly otitis externa), superficial dermatitis, eczema of the auricles and ear canal in dogs and cats.
Contraindications
The drug is contraindicated for use in perforation of the eardrum and hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Special instructions
The drug has limitations on its use. It can be used for complex infectious diseases of the ear, on the basis of clinical and diagnostic studies and the establishment of pathogens, as well as their sensitivity to this active substance, antibiotic.
Composition
Otibiovin solution in 1 ml contains: triamcinolone acetonide – 0.5 mg salicylic acid – 5 mg gentamicin sulfate – 2 mg. Excipients: ethanol distilled water.
Dosage and administration of
In the treatment of acute dermatitis of bacterial and fungal etiology, clean the affected areas of the auricle, ear canal, and ear wax, peels and exudate and instill 4-5 drops of Otibiovin in each ear at the beginning of the course 3-4 times a day, and after 3 days 2-3 times a day. Gently massage the base of the ear for better penetration of the drug into the tissues. Fix the animal’s head for several minutes to prevent splashing during shaking of the animal.
The course of treatment is 5-7 days, but not more than 12 days (3 days after the disappearance of signs of the disease).
Side effects
Side effects and complications when using the drug in accordance with the temporary instructions have not been established.
Storage conditions
In sealed original packaging, in a dry, dark place, out of the reach of children and animals, separately from food and animal feed, at a temperature of 15-25 C.
Shelf life
Shelf life of the drug, subject to storage conditions 36 months from the date of manufacture. After opening the bottle, the drug must be used for 12 days.
