Pharmacological action
Adrianol is a vasoconstrictor drug for local use in ENT practice. Phenylephrine and tramazoline have a vasoconstrictor effect, which leads to a decrease in swelling of the nasal mucosa. The drug normalizes breathing, reduces pressure in the paranasal sinuses and middle ear.
The viscous consistency of the solution increases the duration of the drug and protects the nasal mucosa from drying out.
Indications
acute and chronic rhinitis
sinusitis
diagnostic procedures and surgical procedures (as an auxiliary decongestant).
Contraindications
thyrotoxicosis
pheochromocytoma
glaucoma
severe kidney damage
arterial hypertension
ischemic heart disease
common atherosclerosis.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Clinical data on the safety and effectiveness of the drug during pregnancy and lactation are insufficient.
Special instructions
With prolonged (over 20 days) use of the drug, a decrease in the duration and severity of its decongestant effect is possible.
Composition
1 ml contains:
Active ingredients:
phenylephrine hydrochloride 1 mg
tramazoline hydrochloride 1.5 mg
Excipients: methylcellulose M.H. 10000, phenylmercury (II) borate, ethanol 96%, glycerol, aqueous ammonia, citric acid monohydrate, sodium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, purified water.
Dosage and administration
Adrianol in the form of nasal drops for adults is instilled in adults and children over 5 years old, 1-3 drops in each nostril 4 times / day.
Side effects
Local reactions: rarely – burning sensation, soreness, dryness of the nasal mucosa (does not require drug withdrawal).
Storage conditions
Store in a dry, dark place at a temperature of no higher than 25 ° C.
