Description
Pharmacological action of
Gamavit contains a complex of biologically active substances that optimize metabolic processes in the body (in particular, protein, vitamin and mineral), normalize the blood formula, increases the bactericidal activity of blood serum, has an immunomodulating and general biotonizing effect. It is a biogenic stimulant and adaptogen, reduces postnatal mortality, increases the viability of offspring, increases muscle performance and resistance of animals to increased stress and stress. It is a source of metabolic substrates, contributes to increased growth.
Indications
The drug is used for the prevention and treatment of various diseases as a biotonizing agent: for anemia, hypovitaminosis, for infectious and invasive diseases, pyometer, for poisoning, for the postoperative period, for toxicosis of pregnancy, childbirth, for preparing animals for exhibitions, competitions and transportation.
Composition
Gamavit is a complex preparation, the main active ingredients of which are denatured emulsified placenta (PDE) and sodium nucleinate.
Dosage and administration
The drug is administered subcutaneously, intramuscularly, intravenously, it is possible to drink.
In order to prevent gamavit, 0.1 ml / kg of animal body weight is administered (prophylactic dose).
With a therapeutic purpose – 0.3-0.5 ml / kg (therapeutic dose).
In order to prevent: anemia, hypovitaminosis, weakened, old animals, in the recovery period after diseases and operations, the drug is prescribed intramuscularly 1-3 times a week. The duration of the course is on average 2-4 weeks or more. At increased loads, to enhance the resistance of animals to technological stresses, the drug is administered before stress exposure once or in a course 8, 6, 4 days before and immediately before exposure to stress factors.
To increase fertility, gamavit should be administered at a dose of 0.025-0.05 ml / kg per day of fertilization, to facilitate childbirth and the prevention of postpartum complications – in the same dose 1 week before childbirth and during childbirth.
To prevent early mortality, malnutrition, to increase resistance to disease and weight gain, the drug is administered to newborns at 1, 3 and 5 or 7 days of life at a dose of 0.1 ml / kg.
For therapeutic purposes: in the treatment of infectious and invasive diseases (including pyroplasmosis), the drug is administered as part of a complex of standard therapy 2-3 times a day for 3-5 days. In case of poisoning, Gamavit is administered subcutaneously, intravenously or drip 1 time in a 3-5-fold therapeutic dose as part of a complex of standard therapy agents. In case of feeding disorders, growth retardation and intoxication, Gamavit is administered 1 time per day for 5-7 days.
When deworming, Gamavit is used in conjunction with anthelmintic agents. The drug is administered intramuscularly on the day of deworming and again every other day. In the treatment of obstetric and gynecological diseases, Gamavit is used as part of a complex of standard therapy once a day for 5-7 days, with pathological births – once in a double therapeutic dose. Gamavit goes well with other pharmacological agents. The combination with Fosprenil enhances the effect of the drug.
