Pharmacological action
The progestogen, acetobumedone, which is part of the drug, blocks the mediobasal zones in the hypothalamus that release gonadoliberinomas (follicle-stimulating hormones) FSH) and luteinizing (LH) hormones responsible for the secretion of testosterone and spermatogenesis.
Estrogen – ethinyl estradiol in combination with acetobomedone enhances the sedative effect.
Acetobumedone and ethinyl estradiol are rapidly absorbed in the intestine and, being biotransformed in the liver, are completely excreted in the urine as metabolites within 48 hours.
CounterSex Neo tablets for cats and dogs are classified as low-hazard substances according to the degree of exposure to the body (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), in recommended doses it does not adversely affect the body of animals.
Indications
It is used to regulate sexual hunting in cats and dogs, as well as undesirable behavior associated with it (aggressiveness, marking of the territory, increased irritability).
Contraindications
The drug is contraindicated in animals that have not reached puberty, with neoplasms of the genitals, diabetes mellitus, urolithiasis and with individual intolerance to the components.
It is not recommended to give cats and dogs a medication intended for cats and bitches, due to the different hormonal background of males and females.

Dosage and administration
The drug is administered orally with food or force on the root of the tongue. The dosage depends on the body weight of the animal and the purpose of use (see table on the back of the instructions).
2-3 months after drug discontinuation, the body’s reproductive function is fully restored.
To relieve sexual arousal, eliminate aggressiveness and increased excitability in cats and dogs, as well as when marking the territory, it is recommended to give the drug daily 1 time per day for 3-5 days for cats, 2 times a day with an interval of 12 hours for 5 -7 days for males with the appearance of the first signs of sexual hunting.

Large individuals from 30 kg are prescribed at least 4 tablets at a time for five days + one tablet for each subsequent 10 kg weight.
To obtain a calming effect in cats, it is recommended to use the drug as a maintenance therapy regularly 1 tablet. every 10-14 days.
Side effects
Side effects and complications, as well as addiction to the drug when using CounterSex Neo tablets for cats and dogs in accordance with these instructions are not observed.
In case of individual intolerance to the components of the drug, its use is discontinued.
