Pharmacological action
Toltrazuril blocks respiratory enzymes and has a damaging effect on mitochondria and nuclear fission processes of coccidia, disrupting the formation of macrogametocytes, causes the death of the parasite.
Indications
Assign to broiler chickens, repair young chickens, turkeys, geese and ducks for therapeutic purposes with coccidiosis, as well as when clinical signs of the disease appear in birds.
Contraindications
The use of laying hens is prohibited due to the accumulation of the drug in the eggs.
Special instructions
Slaughter of broiler chickens for meat is allowed not earlier than after 14 days, turkeys, geese and ducks – not earlier than 16 days after the last use of Eimeterm 2.5% solution. In the case of forced slaughter of birds earlier than the deadlines, meat can be used as feed for fur animals.
Eimeterm solution 2.5% is compatible with vitamins, feed additives and drugs used in poultry farming.
Composition
As an active ingredient it contains 25 ml of toltrazuril in 1 ml.
Dosage and administration
Apply the bird with water for drinking two days in a row at a dose of 7 mg of toltrazuril per 1 kg of bird weight (28 ml of the drug per 100 kg of bird weight), which is equivalent to: 1 ml of the drug per 1 liter of drinking water, which they are fed to the bird for 48 hours in a row or 3 ml of the drug per 1 liter of drinking water, which is fed to the bird for 8 hours a day for two days in a row.
In severe cases of bird disease, treatment is repeated after 5 days. During the use of the drug, the bird should receive only water containing the drug.
The treatment solution remains effective for 48 hours. In case of sediment, the solution should be thoroughly mixed before use.
Side effects
When used according to the instructions, side effects are not observed. With an overdose in birds, a decrease in appetite, a decrease in water intake and weight loss can be observed.
Storage conditions
Store the product in the manufacturer’s packaging, in a place protected from light and moisture, at a temperature of 5 to 25 ° C.
