Indications

Constipation: regulation of the physiological rhythm of colon emptying

Side effects

In the early days of lactulose, flatulence may occur. As a rule, it disappears after a few days.

In the case of the use of high doses for a long time in the treatment of hepatic encephalopathy, the patient may develop disturbances in the water-electrolyte balance due to diarrhea.

From the digestive system: very often ( 1/10) – diarrhea often ( 1/100, <1/10) - flatulence, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting. Overdose Symptoms: Abdominal pain and diarrhea may occur with very high doses. Treatment: discontinuation of the drug or dose reduction.
