Description

Pharmacological action

The mechanism of action of the active substances included in the drug is based on the inhibition of fumarate reductase, persistent depolarization of the helminth muscle cells, impaired energy metabolism, which causes paralysis and death of parasites and contributes to their elimination from the gastrointestinal tract.

Indications

Febtal combo is prescribed to dogs and cats for prophylactic and therapeutic purposes in case of nematodoses (toxocariasis, toxoscaridosis, uncinariosis, trichocephaliasis, hookworm infection), cestodoses (teniidosis, dipyloidiosis, dichiosis, echinosis).

Contraindications

Increased individual sensitivity to the active components of the drug.

Do not use for pregnant and lactating animals, as well as puppies and kittens younger than 3 weeks of age.

Composition of

1 ml of febtal combo contains praziquantel – 5 mg / ml and albendazole – 50 mg / ml as active ingredients, as well as excipients.

Dosage and administration

Used once, individually, by animals, in morning feeding with a small amount of feed or injected directly into the mouth forcibly at the rate of 1 ml of suspension per 1 kg of animal weight.

Shake the vial well carefully before use.

A preliminary fasting diet and laxatives are not required.

For deworming of animals weighing less than 0.5 kg, immediately before use, 0.3 ml of boiled water is added to the measured dose of the drug, then it is thoroughly shaken and the suspension is orally administered to the animal.

For therapeutic purposes, deworming of dogs and cats is carried out according to indications, with prophylactic – quarterly in a therapeutic dose.

Side effects

When using the drug according to the instructions side effects and complications are not observed.

Storage conditions

Store the drug in the manufacturer’s packaging, in a place protected from light and moisture, inaccessible to children and animals, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 0 ° C to 25 ° C.
