Pharmacological action
Amoxicillin, which is part of Clamoxil LA, is a semi-synthetic broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic that has a bactericidal effect on gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria.
The maximum concentration of amoxicillin in blood serum is observed already 2 hours after intramuscular or subcutaneous administration of the drug and remains at the therapeutic level for 18 hours. The drug is convenient for use, does not have an irritating effect.
Indications
Clamoxil LA is used to treat cattle and small cattle for:
infectious diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (including enteritis)
infectious diseases of the respiratory system (including pneumonia and bronchopneumonia in young animals)
infections of the urine and urinary tract infections )
necrobacteriosis, wounds, abscesses, joint inflammations, umbilical infections and other skin and soft tissue diseases
for the prevention of surgical postoperative infections.
Contraindications
Do not administer the drug to animals with hypersensitivity to penicillins, do not use the drug for small herbivores and rodents (rabbits, hamsters, etc.).
Special instructions
Milk can be used for food purposes after 96 hours after the last injection. Slaughter of animals for meat for food purposes can be carried out 28 days after the last injection. Meat of animals forcibly killed before the expiration of the specified period, It can be used for feeding fur animals or for the production of meat and bone meal.

Dosage and administration
The drug is administered intramuscularly or subcutaneously at a dose of 1 ml per 10 kg of live weight (15 mg per 1 kg of live weight), not more than 20 ml in one place. In most cases, one injection of the drug is enough for the animals to recover completely. If necessary, Clamoxyl LA is reintroduced after 48 hours.
Storage conditions
The drug is stored with caution (list B) at a temperature of 3 ° C to 25 ° C in a place protected from direct sunlight.
Expiration
Expiration of the drug, subject to storage conditions, is 3 years from the date of manufacture. Expiration of the opened bottle is 4 weeks.
