Becarbon – antacid, antispasmodic, hyposecretory.
Pharmacodynamics
Antispasmodic and antisecretory effects (decreased secretion of gastric, pancreas, bronchial, salivary, sweat glands and bile secretion) are caused by m-anticholinergics (belladonna extract), antacid – sodium bicarbonate.
Indications
Intestinal colic.
Hyperacid gastritis.
Heartburn.
Dyspepsia.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Angle-closure glaucoma.
Prostate hypertrophy with impaired urine outflow.

Composition
1 tablet contains:
Active substances: belladonna extract – 10 mg sodium bicarbonate – 300 mg.
Dosage and administration
Inside, 30-40 minutes before a meal, 1 tablet 2-3 times a day.
The highest single dose for adults is 5 tablets, the highest daily dose is 15 tablets.
Side effects
Dry mouth, thirst, intestinal atony, urinary retention, tachycardia, mydriasis, paresis of accommodation.
Overdose
Symptoms: psychomotor agitation, convulsions, paresis of accommodation, acute urinary retention.
