Description

Pharmacological action of

Stop-itch spray refers to combination anti-inflammatory drugs.

Triamcinolone, which is part of the preparation, is a synthetic glucocorticoid and has a pronounced anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and desensitizing effect. The mechanism of its action is to block the release of inflammatory mediators by eosinophils, including prostaglandins, potentiating the inflammatory process, reducing the number of mast cells that produce hyaluronic acid, reducing the permeability of capillaries. Lidocaine has a local anesthetic effect, helps relieve itching. Chloramphenicol and metronidazole have an effect on most gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Calendula extract has bactericidal and anti-inflammatory properties, accelerates tissue regeneration and wound healing. Stop-itch spray according to the degree of exposure to the body belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), in the recommended doses it does not have a local irritating and resorptive toxic effect.

Indications

Stable angina pectoris in patients with normal sinus rhythm with intolerance or contraindications for beta-blockers allopecia, infected dermatitis, reactions to insect bites) and otitis allergic or bacterial etiology.

Contraindications

Contraindication for use Stop-itch spray is an individual intolerance to the components of the drug (including a history of), viral diseases and diabetes.

Special instructions

It is not recommended to use the drug for pregnant and lactating females, as well as puppies and kittens up to 8 weeks of age.

Avoid skipping the next dose of the drug, as this can lead to a decrease in its effectiveness. If one or several treatments are skipped, the use of the drug is resumed in the same dosage and in the same way.

Composition

In 1 ml: triamcinolone – 0.5 mg, chloramphenicol – 5 mg, metronidazole – 10 mg, lidocaine hydrochloride – 50 mg, calendula extract – 4 mg, excipients up to 1 ml.

Dosage and administration

Holding the bottle upright and pressing the spray head, direct the nebulizer to the affected surface from a distance of 10-15 cm. In the treatment of dermatitis, Stop-itch spray is applied to the affected surfaces after their preliminary sanitary treatment, spraying a thin layer twice a day for 5 to 10 days. In the treatment of otitis media, the external auditory canal is cleaned of scabs and crusts and, directing the nebulizer to the inner surface of the auricle, uniformly moisturize the surface. After that, fold the auricle along in half and massage its base. Processing is carried out 2 to 3 times a day for 5 to 7 days. The course of treatment may be continued at the discretion of the attending veterinarian.
