Active against most gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, including Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Enterobacter spp., Proteus mirabilis, Proteus vulgaris, Haemophilus spp., Klebsiella spp., Pasteurella multocida, Pseudomonas aerugenosa, Bordetella spp., Campylobacter spp., Erysipelothrix spp., Corynebacterium spp., Staphylococppppppppoccus cppppoccus ., Fusobacterium spp., Bacteroides spp., As well as Mycoplasma spp.

Enrofloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase, disrupts DNA synthesis, the growth and division of bacteria causes pronounced morphological changes (including in the cell wall and membranes), which leads to rapid death of the bacterial cell. It acts bactericidal on gram-negative microorganisms during dormancy and division, on gram-positive microorganisms in the period of division.

When i / m is administered, enrofloxacin is rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream and penetrates almost all organs and tissues, reaching a maximum concentration in 0.5-1 h after administration. The therapeutic concentration of enrofloxacin after a single injection is maintained in the body for 24 hours. Enrofloxacin is excreted from the body mainly in an unchanged form and partly in the form of a metabolite – ciprofloxacin, mainly with urine, in lactating animals – also with milk.

According to the degree of exposure to the body, Enrofloxacin 50 injection is classified as a moderately hazardous substance (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76).
