Ranodes is intended for the treatment and prevention of purulent-inflammatory processes on the skin, as well as for treating the surgical field in animals. The active substance, soluble furagin, is a derivative of nitrofuran, it has a pronounced antibacterial effect against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus faecalis, Enterobacteriacae, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae and others), in the presence of pus, blood, serum does not reduce bacteriostatic activity. Methyluracil is an immunostimulating agent that accelerates the regeneration and healing of wounds, stimulates cellular and humoral defense factors, and has a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect. Propolis extract has a strong antimicrobial, antifungal, analgesic and wound healing effect on the skin of the animal, enhances the antibacterial property of furagin soluble.
Indications
Ranodes is used externally for the treatment of surgical and traumatic wounds, burns, bedsores, frostbite, inflammatory diseases of the skin and soft tissues of bacterial and fungal etiology for the prevention of postoperative infections (after castration, stopping of tails and ears, suturing) in animals, and also for processing the surgical field (disinfection of the skin).
Contraindications
Individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Composition
Soluble furagin (furazidine) – 1%, methyluracil – 2.5%, propolis extract – 0.5% and auxiliary components.
Dosage and administration
Before using the preparation, the affected surface is prepared to clean the wound of contaminants, crusts, scabs. Ranodes is sprayed or applied in a thin layer on the affected surface, evenly distributed using a cotton-gauze swab from the periphery to the center of the affected area, with the capture of border healthy skin up to 1 cm, 1-2 times a day until complete clinical recovery. The use of Ranodes does not exclude the use of other drugs of specific and symptomatic therapy.
